Br. Anthony Lenz

Brother Anthony is a retired De La Salle Christian Brother. He graduated from St. Mary’s College in 1968 with a BA degree in Mathematics with minors in Theology and Philosophy. He taught Mathematics for over 32 years in three Lasallian High Schools, Cathedral in Los Angeles, SHCP in San Francisco, and Lasalle in Yakima, Washington. For 14 years he was a tutor in the Brother’s after school program in Oakland. While at the various High Schools, he had several responsibilities for short periods of time: Bookstore Manager, moderator of a guitar club and a Junior Class, Mathematics Department Head, Vice Principal of Discipline, Basketball Coach, Soccer Coach, and Athletic Director. Since his retirement in 2015, he has volunteered coaching Tennis at SPSV in Vallejo for both Girls and Boys teams. During those years, he has also volunteered at DLSA where he has taught 8th grade math to the first graduating class, served as a reliable Math tutor each year, and manages the school library, all while supervising recesses across all grade levels.
